The detailed description of the project:

Institutional Contract # OBIS – 114 – Capacity Bldg. for Trade and the Environment, “Environmental Considerations Affecting Trade in Agriculture and Agro Industrial Goods Within the Arab Region”.

This UNDP funded project had as its objectives a list of findings that are impacting productivity and competitiveness of the agricultural and agro-industrial sectors in the Arab countries of the MENA region. Referencing active NGO’s, professional associations, private sector stakeholders, and other GO’; this qualitative report examines the environmental considerations that impact trade between Arab states and emphasizes private sector recommendations that can assist ESCWA in laying out a trade strategy that can overcome these challenges.
