The Dr. Kafta Food Poisoning Incident highlights the importance of the services MEFOSA provides.

Lebanon recently faced another public health crisis when over 25 people, including children in critical condition, suffered food poisoning after eating at the “Dr. Kafta” restaurant chain in Kaslik and Bikfaya.

Investigations linked the outbreak to spoiled mayonnaise, and the Ministry of Public Health ordered the closure of the Bikfaya–Saqiet el Misk branch

This tragic event underscores the urgent need for the food safety controls, ingredient monitoring, and staff training that MEFOSA provides daily with its partners.
