The meeting concluded the following recommendations:

    The need to follow up all the requirements and obligations pertaining to the subject of the above in order to deliver all the decisions of the US Food and Drug Organization to all parties concerned by a reference of relevance.
    The importance and the need of the accredited laboratories in Lebanon to follow sampling methods according to specification of ISO 17020.
    Renovation of current laboratory equipment, if necessary, in order to test by methods and techniques adopted by the FDA for better inspection on imported food.
    Activating the cooperation and partnership between the public and private sectors, associations and NGOs to improve the collective research.
    The need to study the decision of the Ministry of Agriculture on abolition of lab tests on raw sesame when entering Lebanese territory.
    Exporters to the USA need to be aware of the FDA laws and the importance of a road map toward maintaining mechanisms at our markets, and avoid obstacles in the export of food products.

    The importance of establishing a central laboratory (or reference laboratory alternative) supported the Lebanese state control according to international standards and the countries of destination and activates the reference.
    MEFOSA s.a.r.l. can provide training, equipment and laboratory supplies to detect pathogens and training systems of TQM Traceability, HACCP, ISO, PRPs.
    Activating the role of Lebanese Association of Food Scientist and Technologist in order to encourage scientific communication about related subjects
